In the fall of 2012, the Chamber rolled out a small business improvement grant program to support local businesses, while also helping improve the appearance of offices and properties.

The grant program reimburses businesses up to $500 to pay for minor exterior and interior improvements like power washing, paint, signage and landscaping. The program will match a portion of the applicant’s expenses up to 200 percent; if the business owner requests $500, they must spend a minimum of $750 for the project to be eligible for the full grant amount. The grant program is sponsored by the Bunnell, Flagler Beach and Palm Coast Chamber area councils.

Applicants must submit a grant application for consideration, and may only apply once per calendar year. Chamber area council members will review applications of businesses in their city and approve grants as funding permits. Favorable consideration will be given to projects that use Flagler County labor and products. Applicants must secure necessary permits and licensed contractors for their projects. Cooperation with other funding entities including donations and reduced cost contributions is encouraged.
