The Thrive Business Summit will educate, motivate and engage the region’s business community. Business owners, aspiring entrepreneurs, community leaders and elected officials will all benefit by attending the summit, one of the region’s most compelling professional development opportunities.The event runs from 9am - 2:30pm. $75 per person includes breakout sessions, speakers, networking & lunch provided by Vessel Sandwich Co. in Flagler Beach.

MORNING KEYNOTE: 9AM
Wendy Sellers, Blackrain ConsultingAttendees walk away from sessions with Wendy Sellers energized, educated and motivated to take action. She is not what one would expect coming from an extensive Human Resources background because she takes pride in speaking up and “telling it like it is.” Wendy truly believes that “Your people are your competitive advantage.” Wendy’s progressive experience in change management, mergers and acquisitions, leadership development, employee communication tactics, strategic HR and talent management allows her to treat clients with a sense of urgency and complete honesty.
As a managing partner for Black Rain Partners Wendy has a keen sense for business practices that manage risk while attracting and retaining top talent. With Master’s degrees in human resources and health care administration, she has been described as a “HR Superstar Practitioner,” accomplished leadership coach and exceptional motivational speaker.
AFTERNOON KEYNOTE: 2PM
Nicole Stott, The Artistic AstronautNicole is a 27-year veteran astronaut with two NASA spaceflights and 104 days living and working in space on both the Space Shuttle and the International Space Station (ISS). She performed one spacewalk and was a member of the crew of the final flight of the Space Shuttle Discovery, STS-133. She is also a NASA Aquanaut and holds the Women's World Record for saturation diving following an 18-day mission on the Aquarius undersea habitat.
Seeing the Earth from space, Nicole had an epiphany. She vowed to dedicate the rest of her life to sharing the overwhelming beauty of our planet with others. She believes that doing so will help others appreciate and care for our home planet and each other.
The first astronaut to paint in space, Stott is now a full-time artist and SciArt Education Advocate. Through her work, she shares the awesome beauty and impressions she experienced through the windows of a spacecraft. An ongoing promoter of Art and Science, she works to generate widespread interest in the integration of these two important fields.
